The Mnquma Local Municipality is a Category B municipality located in the south-eastern part of the Eastern Cape Province. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Amathole District Municipality and comprises an amalgamation of the former Butterworth, Ngqamakhwe and Centane Transitional Regional Councils.

Internship Details:
- Position: Municipal Finance Intern
- Contract Duration: 2 Years
- Salary: R100,000.00 per annum
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) plus a three-year qualification in Finance or Accounting from a recognised institution.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of General Accepted Municipal Accounting Practices (GAMAP) and Budget Reforms.
- Assist in the compilation of financial statement reports.
- Capture financial data accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate and compile statistical and administrative information as required.
