The Kouga Local Municipality is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, west of Nelson Mandela Bay, and forms part of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality. It consists of nine towns, namely, Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp, St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis, Oyster Bay, Patensie, Hankey, Loerie and Thornhill, as well as various smaller settlements and agricultural nodes.
Kouga Local Municipality has opened applications for multiple internship and experiential learning opportunities across various departments for 2025. With monthly stipends of R4,000 and a focus on skills development, these 12–18 month programmes are ideal for youth eager to gain real-world experience.

Kouga Municipality is recruiting for the following roles:

Minimum Requirements
- Must be computer literate
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- Good communication skills
- Must read, write, and speak at least two of the following: English, Afrikaans, Xhosa
- Preferably residing within the Kouga Municipal area
- Specific qualifications per field:
- Tourism/Public Management/ICT: Relevant National Diploma
- Electrical Engineering: N6 Certificate + Placement Letter

- Interns will sign an internship agreement in addition to an employment contract
